Face Washing Mistakes

You wash your face daily, but are you doing it right?

The easier the task, the more you're likely to make mistakes! Washing your face seems pretty simple as you do it daily, but are you doing it right?

1.       Pick The Right Cleanser

If your skin feels tight after washing, it doesnt resemble that your skin is firming, but it means that the cleanser is too harsh to use on your face. The right cleanser helps to remove dirt, grime and makeup but not strip away too much of your skin's natural oils.

2.       Wash Your Hand Before Face Washing

Most of the people have their mind set that when face washing, both of your hands will also be washed. Therefore, bacteria and dirt will stick onto your face. We advice to wash your hands before washing your face especially fingernails where it has the most bacteria to prevent bacteria to stick onto your face.

Too hot or too cold temperature may irritating your skin

3.       Wrong Water Temp

We all know the rule: wash face with hot water to open pores, then rinse with cold water to shrink the pores. In fact, exposing the skin to different extremes temperature can actually cause irritation, lead to over drying or over production of sebum and blood vessel ruptures. Wash with lukewarm water is always the best idea!

4.       Remove Makeup Before You Wash Your Face

The staying power of concealer and foundation is amazing, many cleansers can't take off makeup products completely especially the eye makeup. Remove your makeup first, then wash your face with your cleanser to make sure your skin is totally clean and clear.

Wash your face twice a day is a good protocol.

5.       Over Wash

Over wash or over exfoliating leads to dryness, irritation, inflammation, and even infection. Too much washing can age your skin, therefore, you should wash your face twice a day.
